I installed the ActivityPub plugin and now people should be able to follow my website from the fediverse! I’m excited about it. I’ve been really enjoying Mastodon, but my website has really languished. I’m hoping that by adding it to the fediverse, I’ll be able to enjoy both. I also added the WordPress app to my phone, so maybe I will write short posts from time to time on the bus. We will see!

Here are a few notes about how I did it. I followed the guide about it on Fedi.tips. I also added a new user to my website so that it should show up on the fediverse as @david@davidbruffner.com. You should be able to search for that handle on whatever fediverse application you use, and then you can follow it and receive posts in your timeline if you like.

This is a test to make sure that everything works.
